Daily Life in the 1700's
The Men usally go out to kill elk,buffalo,and deer.And they protected their family and large animals and other tribes.They also go fishing with their children. Women made all of the clothes. The men wore Breechcloths and leather leggings. When they went hunting they wore special buckskin war shirts. The women wore deerskin skirts and poncho like blouses. Both the men and women wore moccasins.When it got cold they wore long buffalo-hide robes. The men shaved there heads and left scalp lock, they stifend the scalp lock with greece and paint so it stood up like a horn.
Hunting/Buffalo
The men only went hunting ones or twice a year. The men did all the hunting and the women did the farming.They used bows. They rode on their horses and waited untill the spot their prey. Then the fire and they run to drag or pick up whatever the killed and brought it back to the village. BUFFALOS They use the buffalos shoulder blades for shoes. And the horns for spoons!
Language
Here are some of the words in the Pawnee languge.Kaatit means scarecrow/black,Taaka means swan/white,Kaac means dove/silver,Rahkataar means bird/yellow,Taree'uss means pecock/blue and green.
Celebrations/fun
Two people play and one person rolls the pole into the hoop,or you can throw the pole into the hoop! Children in the pawnee tribe played this game everyday!
Pawnee food.
The pawnee ate whatever they killed wich would be elk,deer,and buffalos. They also ate whatever their mother farmed and cooked in their lodges.
Farming
The women did all the farming. They raised corn,beans,pumpkins and squash. They usally farmed when the men went fishing with their children,went hunting or on a walk.
Houses
The pawnee lived in lodges. wich is sticks gravel and buckskin. The men build the lodges and some women took part!

The girls played with yarn dolls. The boys and the girls played the Hoop Game and went fishing with their fathers.
